ArtTalk was established to empower artists by sharing concepts, ideas and experiences to build a creative community.
Each presentation will feature one or more artists having discussions or presenting information regarding anything art related, including but not limited to: being creative, working in the studio, solving artistic problems, artists from the past, art critiques, understanding the elements of making art, techniques and tips, understanding process over product, marketing yourself as an artist, promoting your artwork, and the psychology of being an artist.
Michael Gault is an award winning professional artist with a 50 year exhibition history. Michael is an art professor that has taught art in colleges in three states as well as art classes and workshops. Michael has been represented by galleries in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Kansas and Missouri and has participated in several international competitions and exhibitions.
Gayle Gross is a visual artist that found her business calling as a gallery owner and curator. Gayle represents numerous artists in three gallery settings. She is active in art instruction, groups, festivals, fundraising and is a driving force in building an artist community in Colorado. She also owns a business that has art studios and creative classes to promote the pursuit of art.
Diana Gault built a career around business management, accounting, IT & software systems and start-up companies. Today she is utilizing those skillsets to manage the business side of her husband's studio while working with other artists to empower them to build their own businesses and market themselves. Diana teaches business workshops and produces art courses for artists.
Jerry Edwards spent his primary career as an engineer with art interests. But he has begun expanding his artistic desires into a side business with plans to commit to being an artist full time in the near future. Jerry's medium is watercolor and he has established gallery representation while entering juried events. Jerry was awarded the Curator's Award for the Winter Show in Colorado.
Michelle Melville is a Colorado landscape artist whose medium of choice is oil. Michelle seriously began her art journey a few years ago when she began taking painting lessons from a local Colorado artist. She has develop her drawing and painting skills to a level where she is starting to explore her exhibition and competition options to further her artistic career.
Hank Maertens is a retired minister who has enjoyed art throughout his life. Since retiring he studied with several proficient artists to build his creative aptitude. Hank is a landscape painter and has been exhibiting his work in galleries and art shows. Hank has participated in art events, hosting his own booth to sell and promote his own art.
